The HidraWear Foam Dressings are medical-grade wound dressings specifically developed for people living with Hidradenitis Suppurativa who experience low-to-moderate exudate from draining or open lesions. Like all HidraWear dressings, the foam dressings are soft, flexible and body-conforming, making them well-suited to the concave, intertriginous areas where HS lesions most commonly occur, including the axillae, groin and buttocks, where conventional flat or rigid dressings often fail to perform effectively. The super-soft foam construction provides gentle cushioning against pressure and friction on already painful, inflamed skin, while effectively absorbing and managing lower levels of wound exudate to protect the surrounding perilesional skin from maceration and irritant contact dermatitis. Used in conjunction with the HidraWear garment baselayer and SecureLock Technology fastener, the foam dressings are held securely in place without any adhesive, removing the risk of pain, skin damage and medical adhesive-related skin injury (MARSI) that patients with HS so commonly experience with traditional dressing methods. Designed with self-care in mind, the dressings are straightforward to insert and change in under 30 seconds, reducing the time and discomfort associated with frequent dressing changes and giving patients greater confidence and freedom in their daily lives.
