The HidraWear Superabsorbent Dressings are medical-grade wound dressings specifically developed for people living with Hidradenitis Suppurativa who experience moderate-to-heavy exudate from draining or open lesions. Unlike conventional wound dressings designed for flat or convex surfaces, HidraWear dressings are soft, flexible and body-conforming, making them ideally suited to the concave, intertriginous areas where HS lesions most commonly occur, including the axillae, groin and buttocks. Each dressing features a multi-layer construction, incorporating a superabsorbent core that locks in large volumes of wound exudate and harmful bacteria away from the wound, an anti-strike-through protective layer to prevent leakage and protect surrounding skin, and a soft cushioning foam layer to provide optimal comfort and promote healing. Used in conjunction with the HidraWear garment baselayer and SecureLock Technology fastener, the dressings are held securely in place without any adhesive, eliminating the pain, skin damage and medical adhesive-related skin injury (MARSI) associated with traditional dressing methods. Designed for easy self-application, the dressings can be inserted and changed in under 30 seconds, significantly reducing the time burden of frequent dressing changes and giving patients the confidence to plan and live their lives more freely.
