The act of collecting capillary blood, through traditional ‘milking’ techniques using a lancet, is prone to rupturing blood cells, termed haemolysis. Tasso+ provides the perfect solution to this problem, with performance data revealing haemolysis indices to be lower in blood samples collected using Tasso when compared to standard lancets or even alternative micro-sampling devices. Furthermore, these haemolysis indices, are comparable to blood taken through standard venous collection, making Tasso+ the ideal sampling device for analysis affected by haemolysis such as HbA1c.
Tasso+ can be used in conjunction with the following BD microtainers as a collection reservoir: 365968, 365975, 365993 and 365986.
Tasso+ is sterile, and CE certified to European Medical Device regulations under Class A (Sterile). Tasso+ is a single use device only.
