A welcome from Sam Willoughby, Event Director of The Primary Care Show 2026
I’m delighted to welcome you to The Primary Care Show 2026, taking place on 20 to 21 May 2026 at the NEC Birmingham. As Event Director, I’m incredibly proud to be leading this next chapter for a show that continues to bring together the full primary care community in one place.
The Primary Care Show has long been a valuable meeting point for healthcare professionals working across general practice and wider primary care, and this year we are building on that with even more opportunities to learn, connect and discover what is next for the sector. As the UK’s only clinically led event designed to bring the entire primary care team together, the show is created to support the real needs of those delivering care every day.
For 2026, we are looking forward to welcoming 5,000+ visitors, 150+ healthcare brands, 120+ sessions across eight conference programmes and 130+ clinicians and expert speakers. Our aim is simple: to deliver an event that gives visitors practical value, fresh ideas and meaningful connections they can take back into their roles and organisations.
One of the most exciting developments for this year is the introduction of new theatres and new content streams that reflect how primary care is changing. Our 2026 conference programme spans eight dedicated theatres: GP Clinical Theatre, GP Care Theatre, Primary Care Transformation Theatre, Practice & Business Management Theatre, Pharmacy Theatre, Nursing Theatre, Nutrition & Dietetics Theatre, and Therapy & Foot Health Theatre. These additions strengthen the programme and help us better support the full multidisciplinary audience that attends the show
I’m especially pleased that 2026 sees the launch of two new theatres, including the Primary Care Transformation Theatre and a dedicated Pharmacy Theatre, giving us more space to explore operational change, service development, innovation and the growing contribution of pharmacy across primary care.
We are also introducing The Lab, a brand-new feature for 2026 and the exhibition’s hub for innovation. The Lab will showcase the latest breakthroughs shaping patient care, from advanced medical instruments to next-generation wearables and technology, giving visitors the chance to see, hear and experience new ideas in action.
Alongside the conference programme, the exhibition will once again play a major role in the visitor experience, with more than 150 exhibitors showcasing products, services and solutions to help practices improve patient care and work more effectively. Whether you attend for CPD, new ideas, practical solutions or valuable conversations with peers and suppliers, the event is designed to support you.
Whether you are returning to the show or planning your first visit, I hope you will join us in Birmingham this May. We are committed to making The Primary Care Show 2026 an event that feels relevant, useful and inspiring for everyone looking to elevate patient care and improve practice efficiencies, and I look forward to welcoming you there.
