David has practised in several healthcare settings since completing a physiotherapy degree at Northumbria University.  He has developed a keen interest in understanding people's pain experience, particularly those with long term conditions. He is an active member of the BSLM. 

He was a pain specialist at Sheffield teaching hospital and supported the development of a community-based model for pain services.  He set up the ESCAPE pain programme in Hywel Dda University Health Board and became clinical champion for ESCAPE pain across Wales. He was one of 4 AHPs funded by Macmillan Cancer Support to develop cancer rehabilitation services across Hywel Dda.  This culminated in a digital service supporting people with Prostate Cancer across West Wales.  

He is currently working in a nurse-led same day urgent care team in Cardigan.  For the last 2 years he has been a trainer for Versus Arthritis delivering their MSK core Skills programme.
