Dr Takon is a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician at the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust where she has worked in the last 18 years. She has special interest in FASD, ADHD, Epilepsy, Tic disorders and neurobehavioral disorders. She holds Masters qualifications in Community Paediatrics, Public Health and Clinical neuropsychiatry in addition to her postgraduate specialist qualifications in Paediatrics . Dr Takon is the CAMHS Liason in her Trust and she is the Quality and Training Adviser on the Specialist Advisory Committee, Child Mental Health, RCPCH. Dr Takon is a trainer and appraiser in her trust. She served as a Specilaist Expert on the NICE Quality standards for FASD committee and is also a Specialist Expert on National FASD organization. Dr Takon has published in medical journals and has also written chapters in textbooks including the chapter on the Medical assessment of the child with FASD in an FASD textbook.
