Rachel Sweeny
Skin Integrity Team Service Lead, Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust
Rachel Sweeney is a Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse and the Skin Integrity Team Service Lead at Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust. She provides clinical, strategic, and educational leadership for community skin integrity services, covering tissue viability, dermatology, and lymphoedema. Since qualifying as a registered nurse from the University of East Anglia in 2000, Rachel has worked across surgical specialties, quality improvement, research, education, and tissue viability in community, primary, and secondary care settings. Her tissue viability career began in 2011 within a large acute teaching trust, where she completed an MSc in Skin Integrity and Tissue Repair. She later moved into community services to establish a newly commissioned specialist tissue viability service. Rachel supports the development of colleagues across her organisation and wider system. She is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of East Anglia. She also holds postgraduate qualifications in Medical and Healthcare Education and Infection Control
