Susan Gallagher is a First Contact Dietitian in a Primary Care Network in England, specialising in type 2 diabetes and obesity management. A supplementary prescriber, she supports the delivery of obesity and diabetes pathways that combine lifestyle intervention with evidence‑based pharmacotherapy in primary care and has led the implementation of an ICB‑commissioned Local Enhanced Service (LES) pathway enabling access to tirzepatide for NHS Cohort 1 patients. Alongside her clinical role, her work focuses on service development, workforce transformation, and advancing the role of dietitians.
