Dr Yvonne Jeanes is a registered dietitian who studied at the University of Surrey, where she also completed her PhD in Nutritional Biochemistry. She has over 20 years’ experience leading a diverse research programme spanning clinical and academic settings. Since 2014, her work has focused on gastroenterology, with a focus on healthcare provision for coeliac disease and more broadly guideline development to support effective knowledge mobilisation into practice. Dr Jeanes led the British Dietetic Association (BDA) IBS guideline development project with 22 expert dietitians. The project was initiated whilst in her role as research lead for the BDA Gastroenterology Specialist Group In 2025, she was appointed Head of Research and Impact at the British Dietetic Association. She is a member of Coeliac UK’s Health Advisory Network and sits on the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians (EFAD) Research and Evidence-Based Practice Committee.
